Retry Correct Incorrect In some ways, 2005 was a fairly stagnant year for pop music. While many of the year’s biggest hits were leftovers from 2004, others like Nickelback’s “Photograph” showed a lot of similarities to the band’s previous singles. People who were growing up at the time remember how overplayed Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” became but that’s easier to appreciate when it becomes clear how little else was going on at the time.
