Retry Correct Incorrect In December 1916, Prince Felix Yusupov lured Rasputin to his house and offered cakes and drinks laced with cyanide. The poison caused no ill effects, so Yusupov shot him in the chest. Rasputin seemed to have survived the gunshots as well, so conspirators beat him with a dumbbell, bound him in ropes and cloth, and tossed him into the Malaya Nevka River.
