The most quoted version of the Gettysburg Address belonged to Colonel Alexander Bliss, stepson of George Bancroft. Lincoln had initially given a copy to Bancroft, and later another copy to Bliss. It was the last known copy written, signed and dated by Lincoln. Today, the Bliss Copy is on display at the Lincoln Room in the White House and on the Lincoln Memorial.
